An interesting group of matchbox labels from Czechoslovakia depicting heavy duty military armaments c1960s.
Very smart, clean graphics and typically Czech in design with great use of colour, and clean bold layout, with a strong visual presence.
The illustrations are demonstrating the latest in weaponry and warfare equipement – although for which side it is not clear.
They are related in some way to The Warsaw Army Treaty and to the invasion of Warsaw Pact troops into Czechoslovakia in 1968.
