In 1964 there was an international architectural contest held for an opera house in Madrid.

Below are some fascinating images of parts of the entries for the competition by 3 Spanish architects, as featured in the magazine “AuJourd’Hui, Art Et Architecture ” no. 52, February 1966.

This edition focussed on Spanish Architecture and Art and has a plethora of superb architectural  drawings, concept sketches, photographs and articles. It is written in French, but has a brief English summary.

As far as I have discovered this journal of art and architecture began publication in 1955 and ceased at the end of 1967 – although there are other French publications with very similar names.
