This masterful piece of graphic design is by John Copeland for the World Record Club. It’s hard to capture the luxurious feel of the gold and black finish with a camera or scanner – but the elements of the design stand out so well, and are so beautifully resolved. The black and white elements inspired by piano keys I think demonstrate the ability of designers like John Copeland to come up with and bring to life brilliant design concepts time after time.

Prokofieff: Piano Concertos No. 1 in D flat major, Op.19, No. 3 in C major, Op.26 – The Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Walter Susskind, Moura Lympany (pianoforte)
